Default excuse my english saint croix

this happened about a month ago and i will just ask you. was in Bp, looking at avids and mojo, this guy looking at the rage rods asked me if i like my st(as in S-T not saint cro(ix silent) so my S.T. cro rods, i said yea, hadnt really used em enough. I always thought they were call st(saint) croix (crox). have I confused ya yet. lol
i told him i like my st. croix and he looked at me like i was a novice fisherman cause i said it this way, so what its the correct way.
