Default When is caring to much, too much?

Big fight last year to allow chickens to be raised within city limits.
Kind of a 'pet with benefits' deal..
Six months later, below is what the end result is.

I'm all for animal rights I guess? But when is enough, enough?
Guess what happens when you get to many chickens on the FARM!...... DINNER!!!

$30 to adopt a RABBIT? ...Ya ok, where do I sign?
Can't understand why they have so many?
1 rabbit + 1 rabbit = approx. 15 rabbits a year ( I think I'm getting a handle on this math thing.)
Don't even get me started on the fricking chickens.
Really? Sheltering CHICKENS? Am I missing something?
SHELTERING chickens...No matter how many times I say it, it still makes absolutely NO SENSE!

What's all that clucking going on at the Dane County Humane Society?
It's about a surge of chickens, and rabbits as well, surrendered to the animal shelter on Madison's far southeast side.
The shelter at 5132 Voges Road has taken in 16 rabbits and 13 chickens in recent days.
The rabbit hutch at the Humane Society now has 45 cuddly critters on hand, according to public relations coordinator Gayle Viney.
"Rabbits are the third-most populous animal at the shelter," Viney said in a news release. "We've seen more and more rabbits come in."
The chicken coop is bulging as well, with the clucks either found as strays or surrendered.
The shelter is hosting a rabbit adoption on Saturday to try to reduce the bunny boom.
"Bunny BUNanza" is from noon to 5 p.m., with experts from the Humane Society and the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society on hand to answer all questions related to rabbits.
The shelter also is cutting rabbit adoption fees in half in February, from $30 to $15.

Now's where I'll anger a few......
If it were my shelter. (not just my donated money) To keep expenses down. The Cats would get the chickens and the Dogs would get the rabbits!
As Americans we all've and will continue to make sacrificies.
As an American pet, thier are some sacrifice expectations also!

So for lunch or dinner today, could everyone try and do your part on keeping our growing CHICKEN and RABBIT populations in check?

Absolutely No, catch and release tolerated!
