Hey guys. I've been meaning to post this but I keep forgetting about it lol. This was actually caught on May 1st. I did some fishing by myself at a local pond right after school with only about 1.5 hrs to fish. I caught 2 small fish on a Strike King 1XS in sexy sunfish right away. I caught a really small one (6 inches) on a 1/4oz Dirty Jigs Swim Jig in dill gill. I continued to work down the bank with the 2 baits with a lot of hits. I threw into a spot that has a big pipe the drains/pumps in new water with fresh rain. I cranked right into the middle of the area and felt a decent strike so i pulled back. The fish immediately started streaking of the bank pretty fast. I was thinking it may be a 2.5-3 lber, until it jumped. It jumped completely out of the water and I realized it was bigger than 3.5 lbs. After a 30 sec fight it was getting close to the bank and I swung it up onto the bank. After a closer inspection I knew it was easily better than 4 lbs. I put her on the scale and it read 5.33 lbs! I unhooked her and got some pics (not very good since I was by myself), and then released her. I caught her on a SK 1XS in sexy sunfish with KVD Elite Triple Grips. I used a 7' M Tour KVD Crankbait Rod with a BPS Rick Clunn 5.4:1 gear ratio spooled with 16lb Sunline Super Natural mono.
Keep in mind that this is NOT a small rod haha She was loaded with eggs Again, sorry for the crappy pics
