Default Finally got a break in the weather!

So we went fishing! Normally the little lake we went to produces lots of solid fish and a fish or 4 pounds or to in a day. It was supposed to be cloudy and maybe some rain so we were pretty excited for the clouds and rain. It was almost completely sunny and it didn't rain on us all day and the fishing at Miami sucked! I got 8 in about 2 hours with a 4.73lb fish being the only bigger than 15".

It was so slow we decided to go try a super secret lake I got permission to fish a 30 acre lake I grew up on in Piper, KS since it was made private several years ago. The fish there were healthy and hungry I caught 26 and Jon probably had 15 or 20 himself. No big bass, but several over 15" up to about 18", a lot of fun and sore ribs since they were eating plastics. One bite was decidedly different. I was hoping it was a big bass but this chunky flathead was still a good time. He at a Havoc Craw Fatty and he hasn't missed many meals for sure!
