The technique I'll be focusing on when the water warms up, is speed. My home lake is very clear (6 to 8 ft. visablity) so quick erratic retrieves will be used on all the techniques that involve reeling to impart action.
I started early last fall experimenting with swim jigs and finesse spinnerbaits. I got bit by a bigger than my average bass, too. All the pros say that in clear water, the key is to not let the bass get a good look at your offering. This will be mainly reaction strikes. I used 1/2 to 3/4oz. swim jigs that I pretty much burned at the correct depth that I found the bass holding. The fish were blasting it! hookset on 3
