Well Friends! My first day on the water of the new year. I went to Cass Lake in Waterford, MI for a few hours this morning to burn the fogging oil out of the Merc.. Once the smoke cleared.. LOL.. LOTS OF SMOKE!, I warmed the motor up with a few passes around the lake looking at the bottom and settled into a cove with a nice sun beam warming a drop off..
The bass were so stacked up on each other, I wanted to jump in after rather than fish... I have to learn how to fish to keep the urge to jump in water like a "Lab After A Duck" out of my head!! Tons of Walleye too! I hooked a big walleye, but it came off half way to the boat.. Dinner another day! The results were these nice little CASS lake April bass. Like I said.. good to get the oil out of the motor and the skunk out of the boat early in the season! Clear Water, Water Temp: 49 degrees, Sunny, light wind, Air 55 degrees and a MIZMO 48102 DUSTY BREAM Tube... ![]() ![]() |
