Default Brookeville Lake IND.

Denny and me hit the lake for about 6 hours of after noon fishing, water temp 68 and air temp probably in mid 60's, south west wind of about 12-15. Stupid weather guy kept saying it was a 6 mile an hour wind LOL.
We went on our "meat wagon route" and worked a bank for about a mile with nuttin, noticed shad in the front half of coves being chased by bass. One bass was close to 5 lbs and looked like a jap torpedo comming at us chasing a group of shad, it almost hit the boat. The shad in this cove were small, about 1 1/2 inch long.
Jumped on to the north end and hit one fat toad, worked a steep bank and headed for Big Elli cove, found some more shad and got another decent one and a dink. It was awesome seeing how the bass were in chowdown mode and came in with mouth open and gills flared. The didn't hit the spinnerbait hard, but once hooked really jumped and pulled hard.
We went on south again and hit a west bank, most of the action that day was on the west side , not as windy or just dumb luck rofl.
Anyways it looks like a matter of time before the real big numbers come in.
Brookeville lake has plenty of stripers, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth.
Its our home lake, about 35 minutes from my house, any one want to fish it I'll be glad to show some good spots. Denny got to see the "hole in the wall" cove and some new spots, the lake has 17 miles of shore line with 2 rivers that feed it and other creeks too. Plenty of wood and rip rap, dozens of coves..
