WTL, when Bear brought that thing out of the tree I immediately thought of you... and your post about finding your lost stein!

The lure pictured is called a Crazy Legs, it was a lure made during the 1920s and is now valued around $80... It flails its legs when the propeller behind it turns. I saw it in an article about some Florida lure collector!
Bear and I just received an e-mail form a Canadian friend about a possible Zookenstein sighting.... We will be trying to squeeze in a trip prior to Christmas.... Onward and Upward!

I remember saving an image of something from zooker. When you first mentioned it, I thought it was the " Zookenstein."
Now judging by the secrecy, I know it's not. The thing I was thinking of was a black and blue jig type thing. It was thin and long and had a bullet-style type head. On second thought, maybe it wasn't even Zook that did the thing I'm thinking of. |

Like my secret project/ almost got it down to where I want it. Here is the first trial from a year or so back. So you could only guess how good it looks now!. I should have air brushed this one but never did. I thought it would look better hand done.

As far as the DEMON is concerned it has been shall I say.........Dealing a BAD HAND for bass down here in the wooly booger areas of the South. On those erie foggy mornings when those bass are in position for an ambush if you listen ever so closely you will hear the call of THE DEMON..........all I can say is ifn ya hear the call you will never forget it. It has been the demise of SEVERAL old and wise bass. Just dont be caught up in its erie call cause ifn you do...............well you can use your imagination for the rest.

Sorry Zook, don't think so. This one is from the early 1940's. Long before Ms. Page graced the pages of Playboy.
