Default Need some help here...

How could I solve this problem?

One of the reels I own, a Cabelas Tournament XZ, ohld about 170 yds of 12 lb test line. In my opinion, this is way too much line. After all, the most your going to cast is about 60-70 yards. Here is my problem:

How do I reduce the line amount down to about 120 yards of 12 lb test line?

I was thinking something like this:

Add about 50-60 yards of cheap line, wrap one wrap of electrical tape around this, then tie on your casting line.

Would this be plausible?
