Redneck and white trash are not the same, at least not down here. Most rednecks own a truck, hunt, fish, watch nascar,football and work for a living. White trash attempts to do all of the above except that last one. Work for them is getting up in the morning and complaining because unemployment is making them go look for a job before they get a check. Rednecks, at least the ones I know. Work hard so they can afford to play hard.

Redneck refers to people who work outside, they get sunburned hence the red neck. White trash normally don't leave their trailer and couch long enough to get burned. Red necks deserve respect, they are good people living the right way.

and like the Alan Jackon song...... Its alright to be a redneck. But most people overlook that they do work hard and that they are good people and make fun of em from time to time. But white trash deserves to be messed with. Especially on Cops lol.....
