Default Lake Claire 1.17.2007

Hit the lake for an 1 1/2hrs. (all I could stand ) Was really windy (20mph) and starting to get chilly (60*). Caught one gill, almost had another to the boat and one small bass.

This bass was on the only flats (1 foot to 4foot then drops straight down to 10 foot) of the pond and was very agressive in strinking my little topwater fly. I casted to the same area multiple times hoping it was a bed but to no more bites. Does this mean they are in pre-spawn?
