I've been catching lots of big fish during the spawning season. (They just started spawning!) Anyways, I noticed that the fish I catch now are smaller in girth compared to the fish I am catching now. If they don't grow at all, will they be heavier in pre-spawn? This probably sounds dumb.
P.S. - I found a trick - if the bedding bass won't bite for me, I just take a slow falling soft plastic with wiggly legs and I swim it so close that it touches the bass's nose. They can't resist it. I was like 20 feet away and the bass couldn't see me. He wouldn't bite. Then I was like 2 feet away from him and I swam it past him and he bit! |
