Fantastic fishing on the river this weekend. C. Teams yesterday had 5 bags over 20lbs. 14th place weighed 18lbs.
Today would have been the same but the wind and rain made things a little tougher. Winds at 20+mph make it difficult to fish main river grassbeds especially on the VA side. Took 19+ to win LAPR with 18 to make the top 5. Grass was the key...main river grass beds early. We caught ours on plastics (creatures and tubes) on the main river and then on lizards in the creeks. Finished with 17.87lbs. Here's a photo of our two best fish today. The biggest just shy of 5. Last edited by 3dkicker; 06-03-07 at 07:20 PM. |
