Home in High Point, NC for the week for thanksgiving break. And with the great weather decided to get some bass fishing in. Went to one pond and fished for a couple hours without a bite. Packed up and went to a second pond where i can usually catch fish in the 2-3lb range. Fished for about half an hour without a bite. Had been fishing with soft plastics so i switched to a crankbait. Put on a Mann flatbill crankbait that dives to about 4ft. Out in the middle of this pond there is a very large set of brush that sits on the bottom. Lost many a lure in this. So i decided to bump the crankbait along the top of the brush to see if anything was sittin in it. Second cast BAM. She slams it. Fought the fish for about 5 minutes and got her in. Beautiful 6lber. I weighed her on my Rapala scales that i tested on a gallon of milk and were only 4ounces off. She swallowed the hook and was bleeding a bit but after some work swam off strong. Here are a couple pics of her hope yall enjoy. BTW this was my only bite of the day. The pics arent terrific but i was by myself.
