WOW! We recently fished a tourney and did well, however we did end up shaving some weight off the boat....We did this somewhere around 60mph on a lake that supposedly my partner knew well...he knew where the fish were but not so much the rocks...The incredible thing is that we never felt a thing...I'm just thankful that no-one was hurt, the baby Jesus was definitely looking over us!!...For you boat guys, there's no damage to the gear house or the shaft and the prop just has a little dent, which you can see in the photo...I had a new skeg put on for $100 and you can't tell it ever happened..I will post that photo later.

Thank god yopur sitting there telling us about it and not someone else telling us. Keep a CLOSE eye on the skeg repair. I am sure you know I repair boats and motors and beleive me doing a skeg repair is not easy and they can and will fail. Next time it comes off you could not be as lucky.........it could take a ear off the prop. Just keep an eye on the repair and you can tell if it is deteriorating.
