Default Weighty issue

There've been several threads where folks have listed different weight material preferences. Personally, I've come to really trust steel and tungsten for C-rigging, but don't have a real preference for anything else. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on their favorite weights and why they prefer them. For instance, I like steel or tungsten for C-rigs because they absolutely help with sensitivity. Apart from the added expense, they perform a lot better than lead for feeling the bottom and, somehow, for detecting strikes, at least imho.

Thanks-
