Default Crucial M/h C/b rod

This is an awesome rod for any type of rattle traps but not
for cranking in the 10' and beyond range. What I found with
this rod is 14lbs test is better than ten.
I have tried the Curado E5 and it sucks on this ROD. I am looking
for another C/B rod for this reel, looking mainly to glass rods -
any suggestions?

As far as the crucial goes I am using a TDA 153Hst in 6.3:1. Does
anyone use a gear ration that high nowadays? I noticed an issues
of Bassmaster that KVD used a 7.0:1 reel with a series 5, so I said
why not six? I just don't have the feel with this rod as I did with the
glass rod or even the crucial Med 7' rod. I am trying Norman DLN's and
the DT10's. If you got any clues to how to get more sensitivity with this rod let me know.

Thanks in advance.
The E5 is a great reel but if just doesn't feel at home on the crucial
rods.
