Default Break problems on my baitcaster

At the beginning of the summer I bought a Rick Clunn Baitcaster. I figured, I had good success with some of the other BPS casters so why not. Quite the mistake. Now in december the drag is failing, and the brakes make the most disgusting load clicking and clacking sound whenever I make a strong cast(the higher the break settings the loader mroe frequent it is). I tried sending it in to our local outdoors store for repair but it still is doing the exact same thing.
Any advice on what might be causing this problem?
