Won the tourney!!

Pretty Awesome!! First time on the water in nearly 8 months and it was a great day. The weather was horrible here in North Al. We had it all, rain, then sun, then wind, then slick, then blue bird, then clouds, and all combinations also. Cedar lake is a fun lake if you can find the bass, and we found them. We, me and dad had a limit of 12" fish by 8:45 so we were feeling pretty good. But by 1:00 we still had only 12" fish filling the livewell, we started to worry. we caught them on everything we threw it seemed. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, rattle traps, jigs, creatur baits, you name it. Just no size to them. We didnt bother weighing and culling they were so regular. 2:00, same thing. The wind was howling so we pulled into a cove with a roadbed we had fished before, just trying to catch a little break form the wind, but to no avail. Still howling. Then we started catching fish after fish. Same little ones though. We started talking and saying that we know the big fish are there we just have to figure it out. so he decided to slow it down a bit, and picked up a big spinnerbait and slow roll it down the roadbed, and he set the hook. Wow! "Get the net!" nothing like hearing that in a tournament. It made a run to the back of the boat pulling drag, then ran straight away, and shook one good time and we were freakin! it finally turned and ran straight into the net and I got it into the boat, and the hook came right out! 7lb13oz. We went from 6lb to 13lb with @30 minutes til weigh in. it was sweet. Ive been in Alabama since thursday evening and it has been one great homecoming. This tournament win just made it even sweeter. $1350 for winning something i enjoy doing, now thats the ticket! And for all yall that replied to my previous thread, THANKS! I love what i do and we need all of yall here to keep supporting the troops. Thanks again! (the pics are in my album)
