Default Good weekend

I fished the Potomac with a buddy of mine Sat. Man did the wind blow that day. We caught 10 bass total but nothing over 2.7 lbs. We caught them on flats with spinnerbaits and rattle traps. First picture is a 2.6 I caught that day on a spinnerbait.
Sun afternoon I went to some private ponds (old golf course) with a buddy and we did pretty good. I caught 4 bass (2.7, 2.8, 4.0, 6.0) on a purple/blue 5/16 oz Stanley jig with a PB&J Super Chunk Jr. trailer. 3 of them including the bigger ones were caught swimming the jig. All fish were shallow around wood cover. The water was heavy stained to muddy from the rain we've been having. The fish seemed to want the bait a little more subtle. I didn't get bit at all on a chatterbait and only 2 hit a spinnerbait (miss 1 and lost the other). My buddy's son caught a 3.7 lber on a small Shad Rap and also 2 small fish. If the weather will cooperate we may try to go again this week.
