Cooter's Pond with Pics
Here is the guy I caught on Friday night.
Here is the little guy I caught Sunday afternoon. Here is a few pics of the lake. I'll have to post a better picture of the lily pads. There are tons of them and they are thick. |

Looks like bass heaven. How big is that pond?

I think it is 20+ acres.
There is a spot slew or slough (idk) near the golf course that is named "The Bass Hole". It is were the lily pads are. Here is the aerial view of Cooter's Pond You can't see the lily pads in the aerial but trust me, they are there. If the link doesn't work, go to www.bing.com/maps and type in Cooter's Pond, Prattville, Alabama in the search tool. |

That place looks sweet! Looks like a backwater area off the main river.

Nice pics. I am in Prattville. I have not fished Cooter's pond but I have bank fished at Jackson Lake Island when it was opened.

I talked to the lady that owns Jackson Lake Island and I now have the code to get into the gate. It still costs $3/day to fish but it doesn't look like it is fished a lot since they made the island private. I have yet to fish that lake from my boat yet and it is definitely a place that you need a boat. Not many spots to fish from the bank. I plan on taking my boat there in October. That place is just loaded with standing timber just like the picture above. I heard it is a great place to fish for crappie.

You guys are more than welcome to come on down here. I would love some company when I fish. You wouldn't have to force me to fish with you guys.
