				 | Carp from hell

Ok, so while bass fishing today I caught a monster carp on a lippless crankbait. The fish snapped my MH BPS Extreme rod in two, and broke a trebble hook on my crankbait when I was trying to get it out of the fishes mouth... Nothing like tearing up your tackle on a trash fish. |

I hope BPS will replace the rod. If not, I've been eyeing up the Vendettas |

That does suck... You know how Bill Dance has scuba divers to put the fish on for him? Well, the monkey was the one it the scuba suit putting that fish on your hook. See, it worked, now you need a new rod BB

Damn man! That really sucks, but it happened for the greater good I'm sure! Them Vendetta's feel amazing too, I like the reel seat, but only if it's got a reel on it! If you don't mind a bit wider reels, than they feel GREAT on Daiwa HSTA's (they don't feel wide at all to me, but some people think so )!

Man that sucks, but at least all that got broke on a fish and not a tree or something.

Ok here's the deal. BPS agreed to replace the rod, or they would allow me my cost on the rod to put toward a different one. My cost on the rod was about 50 bucks, (combo price). So if I had it replaced with the extreme it would cost nothing, and to switch to the Vendetta would cost me about 20 or 30 bucks. I know the Extreme retails at a little more than the Vendetta, but that doesn't nessesarily mean it's a nicer rod. Any advice from someone who has used both?

Can't go wrong either way Dshow... I say just run with the Extreme and put the money towards some line and lures that you don't really need |
