Family Update

Allen is doing well on his cast. His ability with the crutches is getting much better. Only 5 more weeks after tomorrow for him in the cast. Janece's surgery was scheduled for this morning. Vandy bumped her surgery until Friday afternoon at 1 pm. I will update after her surgery. I do not know if I will have the chance to get to an internet connection while at the hopsital, but if not I will send a message through Kory. Kory, I hope you don't mind. Thanks for all the prayers and great thoughts.

Janece is out of surgery and it went well. She will be in the hospital for 3-4 days.

I like the fact that Vandy has wireless internet and I remembered the laptop.

Janece got up and walked this evening for 600 feet. This was her first walk after surgery. Things are looking up. Last night she couldn't move without crying out and this afternoon she is sitting in a chair and wanting to walk. Janece had a good friend come in early this morning and stay with her.

I left and went to our first CAST (Christian Anglers Serving Together) Kids Fishing Derby back in west Kentucky. About a 2 hour drive from Vandy. We had 15 kids to compete and 4 more older kids that just want to fish for fun. The kids fished for about 1.5 hours caught several fish and had a blast. Pictures will be on the Cast website within a couple of days. www.castministries.net. Each kid recieved an Evinrude hat, Strike King Lure and Catalog, Kentucky Fishing book from the state and a Bible. I want to thank Dan Morehead and Evinrude Motors, Mark Menendez and Strike King Lures, Tackle Warehouse.com, Gander Mountain, Dunns Sporting Goods, Paducah Veterinary Clinic, Capital Gold, Cane Creek Baptist Church, Spring Bayou Baptist Church, and two fisherman who donated their tournament winnings to the Kids Derby. We had some awesome prizes to draw for thanks to the people and businesses that I listed. We had a great group of kids who turned out on a hot August morning.

Danny, I am so sorry that it took me so long to get on here and reply but I have been working like a dog. I am so glad that things went well and it sounds like they are getting better by the minute which is awesome! We will continue to pray for you all and keep us updated as things improve.

Great news about the kids fishing derby, very impressive. It sounds like you guys are doing a great job and it will be exciting as CAST continues to grow.

I want to say thank you to all the wonderful people on this forum who have kept my family in their thoughts and prayers over the last several weeks. Janece is probably about 24 hours from checking out of Vandy and going home. If her labs are ok tonight, they will remove her drain tomorrow and we can go home. This has been a tough few weeks for all of us and I just want to thank you for your support and kind words. It really does mean more than you realize.

Thats wonderful news Danny. It's definately been a very stressfull time for you all, and so I'll continue to hold you all in my prayers. Soon everyone will be back home and healthy again and then you can relax a bit and give thanks to the Father. We all will.
