Default Spro Lil Johns?

Monkeys got me and I need to add a few more cranks to my collection. I don't really have much experience with the Spros and was wanting to get opinions from those who have used them.

They look real nice and well built, I'm a fan of the flat sides. Mainly looking for feedback about the shallow 1/2oz model that runs 3-5 feet.

I have used the Little John and the Little John MD. They are both great crankbaits but of the two I prefer the MD model, mainly because I like banging medium diving crankbaits into the bottom in shallow water. The profile of these baits is perfect when there are baitfish in an area. When things get tough and I want a smaller profiled crankbait, the Little John MD is my go to crankbait in most cases.

Another bonus is that they are fairly heavy baits and offer little wind resistance because of their small size so with the weight transfer system in them, they will cast a long long long ways, especially compared to other crankbaits similiar in size.

I have used the shallow running ones for quite a while and a couple of the deep ones last year. I have done very well with the shallow ones. Like C-rig said they cast a mile. My best time with them was ripping them through the tops of weeds in about 5' of water. I've had the best luck in Michigan with the Spooky Shad color. Unfortunately I see that they have gone way up in price, the place I used to get them now charges $10.19 but I think I used to pay $8 or so.

I use them almost exclusively in tournaments. Cast a mile , and dont hang up nearly as easy as other lures. I love them... I use the shallow divers.
