I have just returned from using my new Tatsu 20# test line. The first thing I noticed was that it is very hard to spool correctly or tie any type of knot due to it’s harden exterior. I read a review in which the word "supple" was used to describe the line. This is not the case at all! Moreover, I was unable to use any of my lighter baits due to the lines over-all weight. Yes, it is very durable but if you can't cast for any distance-without heavy baits, you are very limited in the presentations you use. I will not spend the money to replace the line; I'll go back to the braded and mono I have used with great resualts, and a lot less expence.
P.S. This line seems to be for bait-casters only as I have tried it on both spinning and bait-casting reels with the better results on a bait-caster reel. Have fun fishing and take a child!!!!! |
