I wonder how much time, effort, and money those idiots spent on the fate of one little ol' possum? They're not even gonna kill the stupid thing....they'll let it go when they're done with it. Geez, of all the stuff they could worry about, they chose THIS?

It's a wonder PETA hasn't considered picketing, protesting or other wise harassing the automakers - I guess road kill isn't an issue with them... like they never ran over a tree rat, possum, coon, bunny, Bambi, etc.

Get this, This possum was supposed to be dropped (slowly lowered on a cable) in a cage. Kind of a Mt. Mans version of the New York drop. The animal is treated like royalty and then released New Years day. Best week in this long tailed rat's life. So peta decided that because there would be alot of cars and lights and noise along with humans at this event. That all this would make the possum a nervious wreck and it would suffer great hardship. I kid you not! The arguement should have been, Giving an animal a week of royal treatment. Best eats in it's life! And then sending the poor thing back into the wild or sewer to fend for itself. Poor thing will probably end up on mushrooms just hanging around wasting it's life away. Start sleeping all day, up all night. That poor tortured animal may never be the same. Oh well, theres always next year?

Hmmm take one possum place it on a pine board, place in oven at 350 f,take a toast to that part.Take out every fifteen min and baste with toast mixture nothing more than 80 proof, and each time take a snort..When done toss the possum away and eat the pine board as well greased and will slide down, besides after all that toasting beyond caring. As for peta people always have a cause SOMETIMES MISGUIDED. This summer will include a recipe for watermelon wine and or brandy.Wine is about 18 proof brandy one pass THRU STILL 80 |

You guys are awful. Talking about cooking and eating them. For shame on you. I'll have you know, possums make excellent play mates. I have two dogs, a Lab and a German Short Haired Pointer who VERY MUCH enjoy playing with possums. In fact, possums rank right up there with their raw hide bones, and old stuffed teddy bears as play mates.
