Got into a nice deal on some riverside plastics, had a clearance for 25¢ a bag, I took them home and poured table salt into the bag..and got thinking..has anyone had any ill effects (long term) from doing this?
We used to pour salt and garlic in our worm bags and let them soak overnight before a tourney, back in the day when all plastic worms had NO scent/salt/garlic added, almost before the spray on baitmate was invented...but its been so many years since I've seen it done, I got wondering, does the salt ruin the plastics long term? (years n year).. anyway, my goal was to get a line of ribbed 4 inch worms and others in known colors that produce..and I figure if I'm out there fishing with someone that needs a worm, they can have a cheapie riverside lol.. |
