I fish a pond that is about 75 yards wide and 350 yards long. The pond gets up to six or seven feet with big walleye, bass, crappie, bluegill, and it has a few catfish in it. The weeds are in the deep parts of the pond. There is a fallen tree at one end of the pond and 5 or 6 brush piles somewhere around the pond.
I know that there are huge ones in there because last weekend I caught a 23" bass and as soon as I released it a bass maybe eight or nine inches longer than it swam right up next to it and I lost a bigger one when it jumped up into the air and threw the hook. I have caught 15" and 16" crappie while i was fishing for bass along with a 19" walleye. I also saw a guy catch a 31" walleye out of it. Does anyone have any recommendations of what I should use? Thanks for your help, Bob |
