It has been several days since out last report for the Marsh. As we prepare for the passing of yet another Tropical storm we hope for some substantial rains to soak our wooded areas and bring a halt to the wild fires breaking out around the state.
On the lake we have watched water levels fluctuate and the fishing successes going up and down with the levels. The bass have scattered with the first days of June being a bit tough for the most part. However, perseverance and bait selection have brought some success. ![]() Bill Okeefe and grandsons Ryan and Matthew. ![]() Baits used over the last few days include Senkos, rattle traps, spinner baits, various crank baits, and some live bait. Best success has been with the Senkos, but with the bite being off a bit reaction bites could be had with the faster moving baits. ![]() Willie Dobes and friend Mat found their success using Senkos and working the wood on the Stick Marsh side. Areas that did the best were the SW area of the Farm, the swale on the north end of the Farm, and the visible wood on the Stick Marsh. We can't get out over the next couple of days but will be out there plugging away as quick as this storm gets out of here. See you out there.
