I picked up some paca craws (Alabama color) at BPS a couple of weeks ago. I decided to do some smallie fishing today, so I gave the pacas a shot. I used them on stand up jig heads with a skirt.
My first fish was a largemouth about 2.75 lbs. The first fish tore off a pincer. The next fish on the same paca was a dink smallie. The other pincer came off and the paca was ripped to the point I had to replace it. So, the action of the pincers is good, but the durability is bad. The paca gets mangled to easily in my opinion. Despite the negative aspects of the pacas, I am sold on them. I'll try a few other colors some time in the near future. Hopefully, I can find some on sale. |
