scattered thunderstorms, nothing big. going from 12 to 7. in 7 hours i can fish 7 different lures. i can fish 6 points around the pond for ten minutes each. i figured id work the column... first id go with my heddon torpedo, then a spinnerbait buzzed right under the surface. then a spinnerbait fluttered down. after that ill try a jerkbait. then i can go with a weightless worm. after the worm im going to dead stick some cigar shaped worm... that way i can fish the entire column. thenlast ill try a Rat-l-trap |

I don't think that I would move around that much. I think it takes longer than 10 minutes to work an area. Last night I was at a friend's house (after fishing 6 hours in the morning) and just wanted to sit on the shore and relax so I fished the same area for about 2 hours, didn't move at all. Had 3 keeper bass from that one little area of the canal with a worm on the whole time and I missed a couple others. Just relax and take it easy out there!
It is good to try a variety to see what they want, I am just saying if the bite seems really slow and there is a lot of pressure try to slow down, sometimes you have to drop the bait right on the bass's head and let it sit there for him to take it. |

I would spend more than 10 minutes on each spot, 7 hours is a long time, just don't feel that you have to rush around to cover every little area. I wish I could go out today but the weather looks like it is getting bad and I am working today.

you're trying to fish far too much in too little time.
Fish one thing many ways before fishing many things one way. |

i guess... theres just lots of thing i want to try out. deadsticking, wacky rigs, suspeding jerkabits, topwaters... ok, heres what i decided- powerworm in red shad for 2 hours. then original rapala for an hour. after that spinnerbaiting for an hour followed by topwater until i have to go. topwater will start around 7... im not bringing anything else because then ill be tempted to throw everything in my box. this way im forced to use a few baits.
