Yep on the Owner's, I've personally moved away from ewg, and just use an offset hook in 2/0 or 3/0. If you can't afford Owner's, Gammy's are pretty sharp.

KB, as a fellow crankbait maker its breaking my heart to see you move over to the dark side. Crankbait maker using plastics, now I suppose your gonna tell me Lassie kills chickens.

That Gammie 1/0 is a good hook for wacky rigs, or so they tell me.

I hear you there Zooker but I throw cranks about 75% of the time, you could carry my plastics in your shirt pocket. Just wanted to harass a fellow Hoosier.

as a hardbait maker myself- for some reason i have more confidence in hardbaits... they look cooler and i think the fish would feel the same way. dont know why, but i just like hardbaits better.

Same here, if I were a fish, Id rather get fooled by a crankbait, than a piece of rubber, they have better action, and look more realistic to me. Plus you can tune em easier. But I do throw quite a few plastics when the fish want em.....

Actually, I just tried a sluggo, and it had alot of action for a pastic.
