Congrats man. Is it a MH or what? Getting new stuff is always great when it's fishing. Now the Santa ties I can do without, right along with the Chia Pet.

its a 6'6'' medium heavy rod, with the 6.4:1 gear ratio, right handed reel. i put some 15lb trilene big game green on it and will be useing it for plastic worms and jigs. my old worm rod that the tip broke off of is now my spinnerbait rod, because its now 6'3''! i cant wait to use my new combo,i might go later today for a bit.

Sounds like an awesome setup, I personally like a 5.3:1 or slower fear ratio,f or soft plastics, but I think the inches per handleturn is more important imo.

Yeah, I have a couple close to that, I just prefer something a lil slower, but I would love that setup, I usually use a mh falcon lowrider spinning rod for most plastics, because I am not skilled enough with a baitcaster, to use something that light yet.
