I get into a bad habit of throwing the same thing and not changing. I have been known to throw a lizard for 30 minutes in the same spot without a single bite. I then reluctantly switched to a pearl white fluke and got a hit the first cast. It is not that I don't like changing bait, but it is more like I am going to MAKE the fish bite this lure. I should get into the habit of changing the bait after 15 minutes of nothing (no catches or bites). I also have a bad habit of fishing the same lure after I have caught 3 or 4 fish and the bite has tapered off on that lure. I know the fish are still there but they likely have gotten used to seeing that bait and don't want it anymore or have figured out that it is not a good thing to eat.

belive it or not the boat that i use while on the coast has a ph graph hooked up.. the ph balance is the measure of acidity in the water.. when dealin with a ocean/tidal river this is VERY important.. to much salt content in the water means more red fish or trout and less bass and pickeral. which allows you to elimanate more water. you can not really tell which is salt and which is fresh and where it mixes with out the ph graph -it is called a scale... zooker

I fish therefore I LIE!
Hey being outside in the beautiful outdoors is great. Really I am guilty of throwing plastics all the time. Topwater middle bottom there is a rig for everything. I do throw cranks in current. I change colors rigs shapes and depths a lot though. |
