Yes... Same volume and weight displacement regardless of in the boat or in the water. Got to give Bama some credit (sometimes). lol

The water level in the pool will go down when you toss the bowling ball in. Now, can anyone tell me why?

Less weight in the boat makes the boat float higher and displace less water, so the level in the pool falls as the boat rises.

When the bowling ball is inside the boat, it is displacing (via the boat hull) its mass in water.
When the ball is thrown into the pool and sinks, it is now displacing its own volume of water. Since the ball is denser than water, its volume is less than the same mass of water it had previously displaced. Hence, the water level in the pool will fall. Okay...I'm done hijacking the thread.
