You guys that say you would take the hot, live in the north. Until you've lived in TX in July/August, you don't fully understand what hot is. I would definitely take your cold winter over my hot summer.......I think. The grass is always greener.

I really enjoy the changing of the seasons but....I'm still not a 'cold lover'. It's really not the COLD...it's the humidity!

Thanks Rod, and the offer is always open to you too. One day, I hope to be able to take you up on that offer midwinter!

I've always said I would take 30 below rather than 90-110 and humid, but I might be the only one here like that. Other than the icy/snowy roads and a whole lot of crazy wintertime drivers around here, I don't actually mind winter...well, until about mid-February or so. Then I'd like to be done with it, but it doesn't work that way.

KD, you got any rod projects for the winter? You did some good handle work last year.

The only rod project I have is replacing tip guide on my St Croix 7'0" MH/MOD crankbait rod. My brother accidently snapped off about 2 inches of it. I could send it back to St Croix, but I'm just going to retip it. I think it will be fine.

Keith, I would really enjoy that. Or for me to head up that direction when it is hot enough to sunburn a saddle down here in July/Aug
