yeah i like fishin with people when im just bangin the ground, or whatever you want to call walkin the bank, just because it gives someone to talk to,someone to learn somethin else, and a little friendly competition (good trashtalking too .... SBK) .....
and since i dont have my own boat i am the backseater and i have fished with a lot of people and sometimes you know the guy up front is luckin up if you catch a fish..... and you just dont want to act like a total jerk, EX: middle of summer, 86 water temp, and this guy is fishin in 3 feet of water, now this might seem smart, but on clarks hill, 99% of the fish go deep b/c there isnt any good shallow cover, and i tell him one place to go where this points sticks out and has drop offs on either side and when hes movin up to it i tell him to back off or hes gonna run right up on it, hes says "we are in 18 feet of water", ten seconds later boom 5 feet, right up on the point..... haha just got to deal with it sometimes but like Stew said i like sometimes just goin down to my local ponds for an hour by myself and just have a little alone time, no parents, phones, friends, distractions, or anything else... just me and nature ....

Ya, most of the time I fish with brothers and dad, but sometimes I like to just go alone.... that seems to be when I catch most of my fish, and big fish!

everything is better with a buddy.......but due to schedules, I fish half the time alone......which is perfectly fine, its peaceful....but someone else there makes its a little more enjoyable....it does kinda suck draggin out a good fish with no one there to share the moment.

I like it either way. Although I mostly fish alone. Not too many of my friends fish. The lady I date doesn't mind sitting in my boat for 12 hours. She also doesn't mind cranking up the old Merc when we have to move.Which is good because with 10 or 12 rods and 3 bags of lures it's hard to move to the back in a 14 fter.

I really enjoy going with others, but most the time that means I don't get to do much fishing myself. I go with kids and people who haven't fished much in their lives and I have to set everything up for them. I'd feel bad if they didn't catch anything, so I feel pressured to make sure they have a good time.
I also try to get people using lures rather than live bait and that makes it tough. I can tie on a crankbait that's worked great for me or a senko and try to explain the different retrieves that can be used, but that's no recipe for success. I have a cousin who is the exception, but he's more into multi-species fishing with live bait and prepared baits for cats. He finally had some luck on a Rapala last year and has been outfished by me using rat-l-traps, so he's started using lures after setting up his other rigs. We had one of the best fishing days either of us ever had about a month ago and I'm very glad I had someone to share that with.
