I would get both, and I have both, the tru-tungsten is a awesome bait, it is versitle and comes in some great colors, I have the blueback herring and the chratruse shad, they CATCH fish. If you buy a hudd buy the 6in with a exposed hook, untill you get the right setup, just match the hatch and throw it, either one will catch fish, let me know when you catch a swimbait fish(if you haven't already) they are addicting, when you get that first swimbait bite you'll be hooked, they hit swimbaits harder than any other lure

I throw quite a few swimbaits. I agree with pretty much everything you have said, but I do go lighter on my line for the huddlestons.
There have been a few posts on them over the past year. I know SuperMat throws them often as well. Of course both he and I are out on west as well.

Been looking around on youtube about swimbaits, and just seeing some of the vids of swimbait bass! I think the bait monkey's gonna have a whole new kinda food! Hey swimbait, I have a YUM fat money minnow, ever used those?

I have used lighter line on the hudd, 15-20lb, bassboss check out heavyweightbass classic 2 on youtube, it is sweet, and buy a big bait posse video it is awesome and you learn about swimbaits, but they are coming out sometime this year with a more instructional video, and the money minnow, I have never used it the only hollow belly swimbait I use is the Berkley Hollow Belly, it's the best when it comes to the tail action, it swims true straight out of the box, if you buy one stick to these colors, gizzard shad, white, and bluegill, I could take those 3 colors anywhere and catch fish with them

Cassidyta, I use to go to california for spring break and summer vac(used to live in Idaho), I fished lake Casitas(not spelled right) and Clear Lake, the delta once, and we would drive to lake Havasu, but not in the summer it was too hot, but all those lakes are awesome, where do you fish mostly?

If you have anymore questions let me know, and tell me when you catch a swimbait fish, it's addictive, but it's as fun of fishing as it can get

I dont really pay attention to the tip action(if that is what you mean) I just go by a good rod company, and heavy, or extra heavy, and how long you like your rod, I have Powell 711, heavy, it is nice, and you can stick'em on it. And what do you mean by, what else is new right?

When throwing Swimbaits only, I will go to Vail Lake. None of my lakes are big, but there are about 30 of them within an hour drive from me.

BassBoss,
Make sure you get the rod and reel to handle your your baits before worrying about your baits. The smaller baits are not too big of an issue, but if you start getting big there is nothing good that can come from tossing them on a rod that is not rated for the lure.

Thanks cass!
Swimbaitkid, I have a few more question, So, you have the spro 4" bait, the 4" tru tungsten, and the 6" hudd. Out of the 3 of them, what do you catch more fish on? What do you catch the biggest fish on? What do you catch the least amount fish on? What do you think has the best action of the 4" baits? What is best of the three for someone just starting to get into swimbaits? Which has the best hook-up ration? Is the spro fast sink good for all depths other than top? If I get the spro, what sink rate is the more versatile? What's best for a shore angler? How well do the tails stay on the spro? Which is the most versatile of the 3? And you can answer this one if you want to: What's the biggest fish you've caught on each? If it's not to much to ask, please answer them form greatest to least.... for example "I catch more fish on the spro swimbait, than tru tungsten, than the hudd." Hope you see what I'm saying! I'm having second thoughts (more like 50th thoughts) on weather to get the hudd, tru tungsten, or the spro 4". Thanks!
