Take a minute and weigh the risk versus the reward . . .
Are you that cheap that you would steal a $1.00 bag of worms? Is a bag of worms really that important? Don't be a dumba** and do something stupid. It isn't worth it. |

Ah so back to the topic, some bags of worms, and some crank baits? (I already have 2 spinner baits)

Oh and another question: I bought a jerk bait last year, and since I threw away the box with the info, all I know is that it's a jerkbait that's a black, green, and orange color. It catches bass, but I want to know what it's really for. Edit: It looks like an unjoined brook trout lure from Rapala as well.

your choice. that 2 bucks could get you a whole pack of cheap worms, or you could turn it into 4 or 5 dollars and get a nice crankbait or better worms, which are name brand.

egh if you really are so hard up for money you have to steal a 97cent pack of worms... you must really really be hard up for money and should most likely be fishing for a job instead of bass But I like the bomber crankbait idea, I'm a fan of them as well and they aren't that pricy, as long as you don't get it hung up you'll catch way more fish than the most durable pack of worms.

I'm 13! How am I going to find a job that pays 13 year olds? Besides, I mow people's lawns in the summer, and it's not quite summer here yet... Anyways, I can live with some worms and crank baits.
To SuperFluke, I don't need any hooks at the moment, I bought some a few weeks ago, some octopus, and some treble hooks. That's why I only have 17 dollars. |

All right, thanks! (Ha I got out of school half a day early because of my swim meet... wondering if I should go fishing right now, but it's like 40 degrees outside, sudden temperature drop for some reason)

I hate do you mind me asking where in indiana? I grew up in lake county, crown point to be exact. North west part of the state. i have a ton of friends there and some who own tackle shops. There is a good chance that they have some extra stuff laying around, and considering your a young fella might just toss you some stuff.
I gotta say this it sure is good to see a young man interested in fishing and not so much other horse poop.... we should all get together some of our unused stuff and send this kid more fishing junk than hell ever need lol. |

Wait a minute... you guys buy stuff from each other...? Anyways, I live right above Indianapolis, Carmel. I don't see why fishing wouldn't be fun, the adrenaline should make anyone excited to see that a huge fish has taken the fake or real bait and start to fight the human controlling the rod over it. Anyways, back to my point, you guys buy stuff from each other??? Oh and this thread should be closed just because I went to Wal-mart and bought some super flukes, (i have hooks, i bought them before my lures, which is why i have 17 dollars left), I bought an x-rap slashbait which imo is a really nice jerkbait/crankbait/stickbait?, and I also bought a Rat-L-Trap which caught be my first bass this month!

Yep I know Carmel. As for buying stuff from each other...beats me Im new here.
My statement was that when the older guys and gals here meet someone such as yourself, there shouldnt be any reason why we cant encourage the sport, and pass on some of our extra stuff to you younger guys. What Bass fisherman dosent have unused stuff? Persoanlly I have more crap than Ill ever use....and well continue to buy more.... I literally have hundres of plano boxes full of fishing stuff. Rubber baits, Cranks, etc etc. Someone made the comment earlier to be an ambassador. I completely agree, and feel us older guys should help the younger guys out. |

I know this is the internet...all kinda a freaks....but if you give me the name of one of your local baitshops ill send you some stuff. Ill simply send it to the bait shop with the name I hate forwards on it. just go and notify them its coming, and then I can send it to you with no need to know your name, address, now when youll pick it up. completely safe. I have tons of rubber baits and some cranks that could prove well considering I am from indiana, and live in florida now. the areas I fish have no use for deep cranks, and alot of the stuff I have simply worked in indiana and michigan, but is useless here.
think about it and let me know. no worries either way. and like i said this is the internet, so if you refuse the offer no hard feelings and i understand. I just like to help the younger guys when I can....I used to work casting kids programs all the time and had a blast with the younger guys! |
