What kinds of clothes would you recommend for fishing(casting) in say 15ºF? This is what I'll normally dress in:
-Tight Under Armour Shirt(long sleeve) -Four T-shirts -Two long sleeve shirts -Two/three sweatshirts -Columbia Jacket (yes, columbia rocks) -Socks -Boots -Two pairs of sweatpants -Big ole ice fishing/hunting suit So normally I'm okay with the main parts of the body; I only weigh an extra 30 pounds. The main problem is my hands. I've done some research and found that the hands being cold is just a way to conserve the heat for the chest and rest of the body. What kinds of gloves should I wear? Those big bulky gloves don't work well. The thin tight gloves are too cold. Is there any way I can trick my body into not conserving heat for my chest? Think some kind of heat pads on my chest would work well? I hope there are a lot of northern boys willing to contribute to this thread. |
