By the way lunk, do you flyfish? As I understand, normally people go after grayling in a similar fashion to trout. Flyfishing adds to the exotic romance of the endeavor. Spinning is too...common for a trip like that in my opinion.

I don't avidly Fly Fish, but I've been a time or two. It truly was fun, but I spend most, if not all of my money, on bass tackle.

Fly rods are bass tackle. Just cause the pro's don't normally use them, doesn't mean you can't learn a ton about bass while flyfishing for them. Before I went to scotland, I practiced on stream smallmouth with a flyrod. It taught me stuff that I used in scotland and it taught me more about bass, too.

get you a fly rod. loads of fun with top water flies. 3 pounders are hard to bring in on a fly rod.
