Daniel I am so sorry to read this. I am also sorry that it took me so long to reply but I didn't see your post because we posted at the same time. Britney and I have been talking about this little girl ever since you posted about her for the first time. Britney and I are worried about this girl and will continue to pray for her and her parents.

On the bright side of things, she got to go home today. But there's still plenty of bad news to go around.
I'm sorry I had to be vague in my last post...I wasn't sure how they would feel if I told all the details to everybody. But now it's safe to tell...
The baby has a syndrome that's very serious, called genitopatellar syndrome. It's a genetic condition that's recessive, meaning both parents have to have the gene, but it's not evident in them because the dominant gene overrides the recessive one. In other words, their children have a 1 in 4 chance of getting the recessive gene, and thus the sydrome, from BOTH parents...with the other 3 chances in 4, the child would have either one recessive and one dominant, or both dominant, and wouldn't have the syndrome.
She's only the 14th patient worldwide to be diagnosed with it. She has most of the distinguishing medical problems that go along with it...Agenesis of the corpus collosum, almost certainly mental retardation, laryngomalasia (extra tissue in the upper airway), hydronephrosis (dilation of parts of her kidneys), absent patella (kneecaps), and on and on....
Nobody really has any idea about what her life will be like. She may never walk or talk...

Danile, I don't know what to say buddy. This is heartbreaking news, and I wish I could say something to help but there just aren't any words to express how sorry both Britney and I are. We will keep everyone in our prayers, and I don't know what it would possibly be but if there is anything we can do to help please don't hesitate to ask.

so sorry for the medical problems that are going to be with this little ANGEL daniel. we will pray for this family, GOD has a reason for this ANGEL. we are not to ask his reason. i have and am growing to understand this more and more as this year has gone by. trust HIM and HE will lead us to the right path. believe in HIM and all things will be fine. GOD BLESS THIS FAMILY!
