hey guys, since we are probably not bringing the boat, and the cabin are bit expensive for us, what are some Hotels that a VERY closeby? I've been telling my dad to set a reservation now, but he's been hesitating. Don't worry though, If he doesn't come, I wIll, even if I have to hitch hike.

I've got this feeling that we are all going to be talking about how great of a time we had at this Get Together for years and years to come! I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you, I mean next to our Families and Friends and working and fishin, most of our time is spent here on the forum sharing with each other our knowledge, our senses of humor and just our time getting to know each other. I know for some of us its just impossible to attend because of, well you fill in the blank, but if you can, make plans on coming, lets put a real face next to that screen name and get out and enjoy our lifes as members of Bassfishin.Com.~woody

Well, I finally talked him into setting a reservation. So I guess we're also bringing the slow boat. WTL, maybe we can race the Zara Spook.
I have a feeling the baitmonkey is going to hit harder this year than it did before the last get together. BB

Another question for our fearful leader, JB...
My wife might be interested in fishing some on her own whilst us menfolks is out on the water. Would there be much point in her fishing the marina piers and other places around there? If not, we need to look for Plan B. I'm talking "bobber and a cricket" type fishing, probably. Thanks. |

yes in the front of the marina / boat slip is a covered area with park benches for fishing, and I'm not sure if you're allowed to fish the slips or not, Most times at night I've seen the club guys I take down there crappie fishing under the lights when the marina is closed.
Also all the ground around the campground or marina is fishable...big bluegills and huge crappies |

We're leaving after I get off work on Thursday, so we're gonna get there late, late Thursday night. It's about 6 hours or so according to mapquest. That puts us there at 11 pm or later, depending on how many rest stops the wife has to make.
