I haven't casted them yet, but they look good! I am going to put them on a 14 lb mh spinning rod. I am mostly going to be dropping- not much far casting. 9 inch tsunami Comparing 6 inch and 9 inch tsunami 6 inch tsunami 4 inch powerbait |

I have the rof 12 because with the 0 rof you can't fish it deep.

I'm going to find out. I think It will be a good one, I just want an ROF 5 and an ROF 12 as well. This was just the first one I won on ebay, they tend to go as high as retail there most of the time lol.

First Cast with the 6 incher... I got followed up by a 3 pounder. Second cast, it hit, but he spat before I could set the hook. I ended up losing ithe swimbait on the bottom. Buy a few extra if you order the tsunami swimbaits. They are cheap enough and you will only have to pay shipping once. They look really good in the water. I am pretty sure they sit upright on the bottom. They were well worth the money, especially considering how expensive other types are. I can't wait to use these from my boat on drop offs and structure.

The reason why I have the rate of fall of 12 is because I can fish it on the bottom and not get stuck because the hook is on top.

I got a bass harasser coming in ROF 12 myself, It should have the top hook as well. By spring time I should have enough swims to cover the water column

You might have to remove the frog hook on the bottom, as my Bass Harrasser came with it, but I got a slow fall rating. The thing about them is the additional hook hanger to the rear section on top, so you should be all set without having to alter the bait to add more hook hardware. P N J

PnJ,
I got the swimbaits today I took the frog hook off the bottom and put it on the back hook hanger on my med fall harasser. Mattlures, I've been a fan of your baits since I first saw one, and now I am a proud owner. Thank you for putting out such a great product. I can't wait to get them wet.

No luck is more like it lol,
I just piddled near the ramp and tested each of my new swims out basically. The mattlures ultimate bluegill is crazy good looking in the water. The Bass Harasser 6" had a very nice action as well (I didn't take the big one today) The Mattlures 6" trout also ran very nicely. My Mattlures baby bass is crooked from being in the package, it went sideways, but I am pretty sure it just needs a quick dip in boiling water and it will be fine. I can't wait to get out and really fish them all.

Guys the only fisherman here in Tennessee that are using swim baits on a regular basis are fishing for Stripers. They are throwing the big Sassy Shad or the big Storm. Most bait shops here dont even stock them. There is one that started stocking the Castaic because some of his customers that fish Mexico in the winter asked for them. We were talking one day and the subject of bass hitting swimbaits in our lakes came up. My thoughts were that a bass in CA is a bass in NY or FLa. He started fishing one occasionally. He experimented enough to figure out that he should use a 71/2 foot heavy action rod and 17 to 20 lb test line. He didnt mention this at all until the other day when I was in the shop he handed me a pic of him holding a big bass. He had caught the fish on a Castaic swim bait from a ledge 12 to 14 feet deep at Centerhill Res near Cookville Tennessee. The fish was a solid 9+.That is a big LM in East Tennessee where the smallmouth reigns supreme. He then confided that he had caught several 3 to 4 lbders over a 4 month period starting in August. I just thought I would share this little tid bit with you. The guys name is Chris Henderson and he runs 1 limit bait shop in Farragut Tennessee. Fish2win

Have you guys ever seen this beauty of a swimbait? It's made by Storm and it is a real Killer apparently. If I lived in the States and had huge fish like you guys have.. i would definitely invest in some of these affordable lures..
Tight lines Every1!
