I was planning on bringing 20 cans of beans along with a big ole pot to cookem in. I figure 10 cans per night would work out well as one can should take care of two people easy. Does that sound about right? Also remember I'll pack a folding banquet type table too. Have a question. I'm assuming the cabins all have a fridge with a freezer? If so, I might bring some frozen chopped onion to add to the beans. And just a reminder. Anyone who is planning on cooking should remember to bring your own dish washing supplies.

Here's a little recap of what we're doing. Remember, you're on your own for breakfast and lunch.
Monday-Wednesday Dinner - you're on your own. There is a restaurant in the park that my dad and I were thinking of going to Wednesday night. Thursday Dinner - Mallen Burgers (me), Polish Sausage (John), beans (Keith), Bryce's salad (I don't think we'll need it Friday, and it would go better with burgers I think). We need someone to bring some chips or something for this night (Bryce? Bryce? Donald? whoever's running to wally world could pick up a couple bags) Charcoal - John Friday's Dinner - The Fish Fry (so we gotta catch fish! ): Fish, hush puppies (me), french fries (John & Lisa), beans (Keith), Craws (Daniel), Corn on the cob (Bruce) Batter for the fish - John Turkey Fryer - John Fish Fryer - me propane - John Don't forget to bring whatever you need to cook/warm your part of the meal in! And I believe Donald is bringing in the paper plates, napkins, forks, etc, etc. Saturday's Dinner - Buffet at the Lodge Sunday Breakfast - I'm assuming Lisa will be making biscuits and egg gravy. Correct me if I'm wrong John. We will probably be collecting some money (probably $10 per person) to help pay for things like the burger meat, polish sausage, craws, etc. If anyone has any questions, suggestions, or if I forgot something, let me know. Don't waste your money on the cicada jitterbug. It doesn't sound near as good as the regular jitterbug and they're very light and hard to cast.

The cicada thing is one of those things that sounds like it should work, but I have certain doubts that its going to be the ticket. But I will try and pack a few jitterbugs just in case.

DOES ANYONE HAVE 2 ELECTRIC ICE CREAM MACHINES THEY CAN BRING? ours broke. so we have GOT to have 2 in order to make vanilla and strawberry. i am in the process of making the list again folks.
we will need to either take up some money and run to wally world (which is fine with us). or go with what we got. i don't want to complicate things, let's keep it simple. lisa and i are going to make a FINAL list tonight folks. but there are gonna be some changes. BRUCE..forget about the oven for the corn pal. and we are NOT having french fries. the reason, since we are having crawfish boil, lisa wants to do a crawboil with taters (new potatoes) and the corn on the cob and everything else that goes with it in ONE POT. makes it more simple. and trust me, it is GOOOODDDDD that way. while i won't be eating no craws, i'll have the taters and corn with my fried fish. so wait for a bit and lisa and i will make the FINAL list on here. again though!!!! WE NEED 2 ELECTRIC ICE CREAM MACHINES!!!! anybody?!?!?!
