I don't think I'd have sent anyone home from 3rd on that shallow of a fly ball given it was only the 1st out of the inning. I was hoping for a better at bat from Moreland after that. Oh well, it made for much better drama the way it ended later anyway.

Well, the guy that would have pinch ran, Craig Gentry, is really, really fast and the Rangers are generally pretty aggressive on the bases, you're probably right though. Plus, had it not worked, Michael Young would have had to play 3rd base and he doesn't have anywhere close to the range that Beltre does. Moreland has been struggling for the last few months. I was really pulling for him to come through there too, for obvious reasons, but I also always pull for that guy.

Fister pitched a heck of a game tonight! We couldn't get anything going offensively and our pitching gave up 3 homeruns. Good win for the Tigers.

Sorry I was AWOL tonight Joe. I had to work so I was not around to text back and forth during the game. In fact I don't think I will be much help for you the rest of the week, but if you need any encouragement from a guy who isn't getting to watch the game you got my number.

Thanks Kory, I appreciate it. Today and tomorrow's games start at 3:00 in the afternoon, I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to watch either. If I can't start the game, I don't know if I will start watching half way through. Hopefully I can take off early again, at least one of those days.

Yep, this has been a really fun series to watch! The Tigers have really hung in there with all their hurt players and have shown a lot of heart. The Rangers tried to make a run at the end but it was too little too late.

Way to go Rangers. I had hope with our 2-0 lead in the 2nd, but we got killed in the 3rd inning. We definitely weren't playing our best. Good luck in the World Series.
