woody has come up with another proposal on how we should split cost. i will let him post it . then everyone has a voice on how we do it. we need come up with how we are going to do this by by 21 feb after that i will lose 25% of my desposit. i will call and cancel reservations and everyone can make their own arrangements . . i am not trying to come off as a mean s.o.b. but it is my money on the line.

As of now, there could possibly be 13 of us in attendance... so $1715 divided by 13 is $132 each. So what I'm thinking of is, if a person is coming alone, like myself, they would pay $132. And then when there are two of you coming together, then they would pay $264 or $132 X 2. So in this way Don won't have to collect from your guest, that would be up to each you that are bringing a guest. This way the total cost of the rental is shared equally by all those attending.

I also brought it up that generally management doesn't require the balance to be paid until "check out" time. At this time we can make up any amount that might be owed due to the possibility of someone not being able to attend. If this were to happen we can absorb the cost by dividing the amount of $1715 with all of those are in actual attendance.

Don, it's up to you whether you still want any money up front from us.

Like Don said, we can do it this way if we all can agree upon it.

I got no dog in the hunt but I think everyone that commits to going should pay Don AT LEAST half what they owe - IF ONLY to ensure those with the verbal commitment actually show up or loose their "deposit". I usually am a trusting individual when it comes to a man's word - but I will tell you I have been burned in the past. It's easy with no money on the line to decide not to go (after the refund penalty date) then those that do are stuck with that big house - and God forbid what happens if Don is the only one that shows? I really doubt that could happen with those that are verbally committed at this time, but there are a couple that are still "maybes". If those "maybes" become I can't make it (just like Woody's fishing pal) it could get expensive quickly, especially for Don.

Okay...good, two more, now that bring the "per person" price down to $191.
