I was just looking at those. The mojo still has one advantage: Selection. Much better selection in the Mojo series. Still, gotta weigh the options.

I got to check out the Bucoo rods today and loved them. Light and well balanced. It will be my next purchase.

Another good rod that I handled today is the Abu Garcia Vendetta. It retails for about 80-90 at cabelas. Looked great and seemed like a good rod for the money. It was lighter than the mojo's. Not as light or as nice as my citrus sticks, but for the price I think it will be hard to beat. The new falcon looks great to. THey have always made good rods.

Don't let this have any bearing on whether or not you purchase a BuCoo rod, but on the BPS website I read a review of them having problems with breaking on the hookset. All the other reviews were giving the rods 5 stars though. For the price I don't think you can get a lighter rod.

I like the guys comment about the evo grips. Yes evo is cheaper, but it is lighter and lowers the price of the rods. I kind of like the evo better. I can't really explain why, it just feels good in my hand. |

I checked them out a while back at BPS, really nice rods, pretty light and seems to have good components.
But after handling the MOJO, BuCoo, Vendetta, and Skeet Reese Rods, I'm most impressed with the Skeet Reese rod! The lightest in bunch IMO, and has the comfiest grips! But if I was gonna get one of the group, it would be the Vendetta, or Bucoo, the skeet reese rods do not have MH Fast action type ratings, all technique spastic.

That is my biggest gripe about the Reese rods, I like to shop for my rods based on the specifications not on what technique it was made for. Mostly everyone is different on what specs they like to use for certain techniques. I have a Mojo rod that is made for a jerkbait or topwater, but I use it for spinnerbaits. The Mojo rods have technique specific informaton on them, but they also have the strength of the rod listed so I can still shop based on the specs I like for a technique. If W&M would post all the specs and not just what it is made for I think more people would be more inclined to buy the rod. I've held a Reese rod and they didn't seem like bad rods, but I didn't buy one because of the lack of information on them.
