Prices for getting motor checked
A while back I posted about a Fisher bass boat. The price is a little high but I am thinking about an offer. Anyways it comes with two motors. Both Mercs. One 35 hp and the other 7.5. About how much should I expect to pay to have both of these gone over. Both motors are about 20 plus years old. My first motor was an old 6 hp Merc from 1957. I had it tuned up once and it worked till I sold it about 10 years ago. My present Merc is a 7.5 and it's about 20 years old also. Never any problems with either. I should add both recived proper maintenance. The present owner said both work good.

No parts involved. Should be no more than a hour or so labor charge to check both. Local sshop rates are 65/hr. Have a compression check above all else. It will tell ya how good the engines will be.
