Lunar Calender
Hey,
I was wondering what the lunar calender represents when fishing? How does the moon impact fishing? Thanks. Carl |

The solunar tables are what most use. They show the times fish and game are most active. There is usually one major and one minor period every day.

What reb said, and fishing is generally better during full moons and new moons and the day or so before and after each.

Nobody can control the forces of nature the best you can do is to adapt your baits, fishing techniques and locations to the current conditions ( water temp, water clarity, weather, etc ) and not mind if the moon is in perfect alignment with Saturn in the Capricorn constellation; your success depends on where, how and with what you fish.

I believe that 46 percent of the world fishing records were caught in the three day period before and the three days after a full moon (including the day of the full moon as well). It's not the only time you catch large fish, but the odds are seemingly better during that period of time. Also supposed to be better fishing when you see the moon during the day as well.
